Classes and Tuition

     Private Lessons

     Eight week session. One class per week.

     $200 ½ hour lesson. $400 full hour lesson.

     Ensembles

     Ten week session. 1 hour class per week. $250.

     Students will learn commercial music in a band setting. Emphasis

     on charting, rehearsing, and performing material chosen by

     instructor and students.

     Ensembles assembled according to age, instrument played,

     proficiency, and style of those enrolled.

     Blues Program

     Ten week session. 1 hour class per week. $250.

     Prerequisite for ensembles:

     Student must simultaneously be enrolled in a private lesson and

     have demonstrated a suitable level of proficiency.

     Theory Fundamentals

     Eight week session. One 45 minute class per week. $110

     This class is designed to be a general introduction to the

     world of music theory. Material includes reading and

     writing standard music notation, melody, harmony, arranging,

     and definition and explanation of musical terms and ideas.

     Songwriting Fundamentals

     Eight week session. One 45 minute class per week. $110

     Course will include analysis of great songs and songwriters,

     song form, workshop and performance.

     Other Info

     Classes at Texas Music School are open to students age 14 to adult.

     Private instruction is open to students age 8 to adult.

     Students will be expected to attend all classes and lessons.

     Classes 8 week semesters start September, November, January,

     April and June.

     Private instruction 8 week semesters can begin anytime

     during the year and will run 8 weeks consecutive from

     the students enrollment date.
